MEET THE BEES
Tamer Ashry is a director, producer, and script-writer with 15 years of experience working in film and television in Egypt and the Middle East. He is the co-founder and CEO of BEE Media Productions. His first narrative feature, Photocopy, has been screened internationally and won numerous awards including best feature at El-Gouna, best feature at Tripoli-Lebanon, and the audience award for best film at Malmö. Photocopy portrays an elderly man pursuing an unconventional romance in contemporary Cairo. Tamer’s short film, Eyebrows, about two Niqab-clad women in a shopping-mall, recently won best short at El-Gouna. Ashry has directed a number of documentaries (Pictures from Gaza, The 7th War, A Decent Living, and Neighbors of the Morgue) which have been featured on PBS, BBC, and Al-Jazeera as well as human rights campaigns for the UN that have gone viral. He also directed work for Emmy and Oscar-winning filmmakers Gini Reticker (Trials of Spring), and Thomas Lennon (Sacred). He was the recipient of the 2017 Meditalents Fellowship for Scripted Development. He is drawn to projects that balance poignancy and humor, and through his work, seeks to inspire viewers with compassion for our shared humanity.

Mostafa Salah has worked as one of the leading production managers in Egypt for over 10 years. He is the co-founder and COO of BEE Media. He began his career as an editor and quickly realized that his talent lies in working with large teams to run a tight ship: he is renown for undertaking ambitious projects, and maximizing resources to deliver excellent-quality content. His commercial clients now include Vodafone, Lipton, Danone, Orange, Unilever as well as many UN campaigns. He has also worked as a Production Manager on some of the largest feature fiction films, Reality TV, and Talk Shows in Egypt, including Eshtebek (Clash - nominated at Cannes), Fair Game, Da Kalam (The word), Adet Regala (Men’s Talk), El Khazna (The Safe), and Rahein 3ala Fein (Where are you Going).
COO/ HEAD OF PRODUCTION
Zeina Eissa is a producer and director. After obtaining her bachelors degree, she studied Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and started her career by working in several short movies in Los Angeles. Zeina produced two of the biggest campaigns by the United Nations Children’s Funds (UNICEF) which aims to end violence against children in Egypt and the Middle East. She collaborated with UN Women Regional Office to produce a six-part documentary series under the title of “We Are Here” highlighting the political, social, peace building, and conflict resolution work of women living in challenging environments across the Arab States Region which was filmed in multiple cities in the Middle East like Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Yemen. Zeina is also the executive producer of ‘Ahl El Hetta’, an Egyptian TV series. That in addition to various TVCs and advertisements for several brands such as Vodafone, Redbull, Ponds, L’azurde, GLC paints, This is Egypt and Chiclets. She has directed a number of short documentaries and online Ads.
SALMA ABDEL WAHAB
Salma Abdel Wahab, is a passionate scriptwriter and a published author, with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. She has been into writing ever since she was at school. Since 2011, started writing articles for Al-Watan, Youm 7 & Al-Masry El-Youm. In 2014, got her 1st book published “ezyaek ya doctora”, and has been working as a freelance copywriter until she graduated, to leave the medical field and work in the field of media and advertising as a creative copywriter and an assistant producer in many ads and documentaries for Hyundai, Nestle, Etijah, Injaz Egypt, etc. In 2018, she had her second book “Raqsa le Layla Waheda” published, and in 2019, she joined Bee Media Productions as a content producer, as another step towards pursuing her dream to become a screenwriter.
Amr Al-Leithy graduated from Faculty of Mass Communication in 2010, and directly after his graduation he started working in the Media industry. Firstly, as producer for most of the well-known Egyptian TV stations, along with the production and directing of a lot of documentaries. In 2019, he joined Bee Media Productions as a line producer, where he participated in producing many documentaries, ADs and different multimedia campaigns for various NGOs like UNICEF, UNDP, GIZ, World Health Organization, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Electricity, The National Council for Women, and many more.
Noran Moamen holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Design from the German University in Cairo. During her undergraduate studies, she wrote and directed 2 short films. She also gained practical experience in many fields of media like film editing, color grading, sound design and VFX. During her fourth academic year, she worked at “KMT House”, handling and executing videos for their media department, from pre to post production.
Following her passion for filmmaking, she joined BEE's team as an assistant producer right after graduation. Shortly after that she started taking up projects with BEE Media as a line producer.
